First Users of DOCC AI Infrastructure

Visual Data Science

The first users of the Data Observation and Computation Collaboratory (DOCC) AI infrastructure are the UIC Computer Science Department’s students and faculty. DOCC is designed to run AI/ML applications, data analytics, simulations, and visualization tasks. The project’s research focuses on developing novel AI techniques for real-time decision-making in complex environments.

It includes several components:

  • AI/ML Workflows: Users can create and run AI/ML workflows using GPU-supported Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Foundation LLMs: DOCC provides access to foundation Large Language Models (LLMs) for various applications, including text generation, summarization, and question-answering. Through web interfaces, users can interact with these models. It includes several versions of Llama models and Nvidia-based NIM models.
