Arcade
The Arcade at UIC is a new visual data science space at UIC, in the new CDLRC building (900 W. Taylor St, first floor, room 1219).
Location
The ‘Arcade’ is to be housed in UIC’s new Computer Design Research and Learning Center (CDRLC). Followed by Commissioning, Audio Visual, and Furnishings Systems installation, Final Acceptance/Occupancy is expected by Summer’25.
CDRLC, the new 135,000-square-foot, LEED Gold-certified building will double the department’s capacity. It will include 16,000 square feet of classroom space, an Undergraduate learning and community center, and serveral research labs. A geothermal farm is to assist with sustainable heating and cooling.
